As the South Australian Patron of MND I urge you to support an organisation that supports people with a disease for which, at the moment, there is no cure.

I volunteer for PISA -  a fabulous organisation that delivers nutritional meals to people who need them. They are always in need of volunteers. Think about it.

I write recipes and cookery ideas for the magazine and together we celebrate all the wonderful things in our state of South Australia.

Olives SA is a great supporter of growers and producers. Always buy and use South Australian olive oil and olives and help our farmers. Win/Win.

WEA has great introductory classes. Look here for my Italian cookery classes in November - Cook with Nonna on November 4th and Italian Christmas Baking on November 11th.

Since 2011, Oz Harvest has rescued an amazing 6.5 million meals, and now averages 50 tonnes of good surplus food per month which is being delivered to more than 130 charitable agencies. Sign up for change!

I am a member of the Sovereign Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem. This is a philanthropic organisation that helps those in need.

As a University student I was part of the founding of Radio Italiana - a radio station run by the Italo-Australian community to benefit the maintenance of the Italian language.

I have been a PIRSA ambassador for a number of years, promoting the best of South Australia's produce and supporting food, wine and hospitality businesses that employ so many South Australians.

I am a committee member of this organisation that records oral histories of migrant Italians. It is a task that works against time - the results will benefit us all.

Every year I host the Taste the World stage where artists share a personal recipe with us. In this extraordinary setting, we see the artist in a very intimate light and, in the process, make the world a little smaller and a little kinder.

As a recipient of the Zonta 'Women of Achievement', I support the wonderful work of this organisation as they fight for women's issues.
