TASTING AUSTRALIA @
NONNA'S CUCINA

Every year, many Italian families prepare for a big culinary event - Pig Day. It is a day that is at once a celebration and a way of life. In this class, I will partner with executive chef of Nonna's Cucina to break down a whole pork to show the different cuts and their uses. The class will make its own sausages, pancetta, begin the process of making prosciutto - even soap. Nothing of the animal is wasted as we honour its bounty and its value in our culinary lives.

A SLOW FOOD EVENT

On Saturday 15th April, join Slow Food South Australia's Rosa Matto and horticulturalist Lindy Russell for an engaging and practical session on creating your own kitchen garden at The Hut Community Centre 🫛

Starting from the very basics, this interactive workshop will give you all of the information you need to start your own kitchen garden. You don't need a large space or expensive materials to grow your own herbs and vegetables.

Topics will include soil preparation, composting, design and structure, choosing the right plants, the sun aspect, pest control and of course, lots of valuable conversations.

The session includes a delicious vegetarian lunch.

Spaces are limited, so book quickly.
